Overview

As a Creative Media Assistant Co-op, I collaborated with the communications department for Northeastern University’s Khoury College of Computer Sciences. I used the Adobe Creative Suite to design graphics for the college’s Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other social media pages. I made grid posts, stories, and thumbnails for reels. Additionally, I designed event flyers and promotional print media for guest lectures, networking sessions, and advising events hosted by Khoury College.

Khoury College was undergoing a brand redesign during my tenure as a co-op. As the brand guidelines were ever-changing, I consistently adapted my design style to create eye-catching designs that shared the college’s vision: Computer Science for Everyone.

I created three graphics related to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging that were shared with Khoury College faculty at the start of the 2024-25 academic year.

One of the larger-scale projects I helped with was assisting the web development team in building a new website for Khoury College. I helped select images from Khoury's photo archive to be included on over fifty pages of the new website. Some of my own photography is featured on many of the pages of the website, seen in the screenshots below.

Khoury News

Throughout my co-op I created weekly graphics to promote Khoury News articles on social media. As Khoury's brand guidelines evolved, I adapted the template used for the Khoury News graphics to match them. The "Before" verison uses Khoury's old branding, and the "After" version uses their updated branding.

Khoury News Top 10 Stories of 2024 Countdown

I was tasked with designing a series of posts for Khoury College News to count down their top 10 stories of 2024. These designs were the first incorporation of the college's new branding for Khoury News' social media graphics, which were previously blue. These posts were featured on Instagram, X, and LinkedIn.
